This is not out of the ordinary, until you find out she’s ten years old! This young lady began enjoying the sport of target shooting at the age of five under the close supervision of her father and certified firearms instructor Dan Roberts.

She first engaged in sanctioned matches at the age of seven across a wide variety of disciplines participating in events  throughout the Southern New Jersey Area, including IDPA, Three Gun, Action Rifle, and Steel Silhouette. In October 2013 she placed 2nd in the Women’s Division of the NJ State Ruger Rimfire Challenge, beating numerous adult women in the process. Summer of 2014 brings the leap to USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Assoc.) as well as Three Gun. Shyanne is planning to compete at multiple clubs and events in NJ, as well as planning to travel to Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia for matches.

Previously named Student of the Month during her time at Janvier School, also part of the Franklin Twp. School District, she maintains honor roll standing. When she’s not competing or training, this “Tom Boy Diva” enjoys hanging out with her friends, little brother and older sisters, earning Girl Scout merit badges, riding her quad, fishing, hunting, music, soccer, lacrosse, and hanging out at the beach.
